PARENTS of children attending Delapre Primary School in Northampton, and local residents from the Rothersthorpe Road area, told their local Safer Community Team that there was an issue with cars speeding in the area.

Two Police Community Support Officers from the Deldapre and Briar Hill SCT, Rachael Barber and Kev Halfpenny  were out and about during school pick-up time today (Thursday) to carry out speed enforcement work.

In just under an hour, 16 motorists were found to be travelling at speeds over 25mph and they will be receiving a warning letter asking them to slow down.
