The Serious and Organised Crime Unit target criminals involved with serious and organised crime such as drug supply, human trafficking, money laundering and click currency. Is there someone in your community who may be funding a lavish lifestyle through the proceeds of crime.

They will launder the money to make it legitimate

Overt signs of wealth

Eat at expensive restaurants

Their homes are ‘palaces' compared to others in the street

Take expensive holidays

Never seem to be working

 

Businesses

Purport to run businesses but do not advertise and rarely trade

The business is cash based – scrap dealers, garden services, hairdressers, tanning shops etc.

They will associate with legitimate business people

 

Criminality

They will associate with known lesser criminals

They will commit deception type offences– insurance frauds, benefit frauds, false claims etc.
