You'd be barking mad to Drink and Drive!

Northamptonshire Police, the Casualty Reduction Partnership, Royal & Derngate and Churchill Insurance have joined forces to launch this year's winter drink and drug drive campaign.

Churchill, who is appearing in Royal & Derngate's pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, met PC Steve Harris to show support for the annual campaign.

Chief inspector Gary Percival said: “Christmas is a time for family and friends and we would urge everyone to think about the pain of losing a loved-one in a collision before risking it all and getting behind the wheel. The only safe drink drive limit this Christmas is NONE.”

PC Steve Harris, Casualty Reduction Officer at Northamptonshire Police, said: Anyone who suspects a driver of taking to the wheel under the influence of drink or drugs can call the Drivewatch Hotline, a 24-hour confidential telephone service, on 0800 174615.”

Churchill nodded and said: “Oh yes!”
