We can confirm today that the man arrested by Moroccan authorities on Saturday is in fact Mr Anxiang Du.
The Home Office will now undertake the responsibility around extradition procedures. At this stage we have no information to suggest how long this will take.
At this time there is nothing further we can add.
We have maintained regular contact with the friends and relatives of the Ding family, and have kept them informed of this latest development.
