TWELVE cars were stopped on Castle Way, Wellingborough on Wednesday 27 June during a traffic operation.

One driver was given a £60 ticket and three points for have a un-road worthy tyre.

Two drivers were instructed to change their tyres during the stop check due to the condition of their tyres, and one driver was given advice on their manner of driving.

The safer community team will continue to conduct road side checks in and around the town on a regular basis to ensure drivers are maintaining the standards required of their vehicles, are driving safely and are not drink driving.
